Most quote delays come from missing details. Before sending an inquiry, prepare the product type, size, material, artwork, print, finish, quantity, packing method, and delivery destination.
1. Define the product type and use case
Start with the category: food paper boxes and trays, paper bags, greaseproof paper, labels, stickers, insert cards, hang tags, or custom paper packaging. Then explain the main use: retail, takeaway, ecommerce, gift, promotion, or repeat order.
2. Share size, structure, and material expectations
For boxes, send length, width, height, box style, and board material. For bags, send width, height, gusset, handle type, and paper weight. For labels and stickers, send size, shape, format, adhesive, and surface finish.
3. Prepare artwork and printing notes
Send vector logo files when available, with CMYK or Pantone color references. If you do not have a dieline, a reference photo or sample size can still help. Also confirm printing style and finishing, such as foil stamping, embossing, matte lamination, gloss lamination, or spot UV.
4. Confirm quantity and packing details
Quantity affects unit cost, packing, and delivery planning. If you compare prices, keep the same specification for each quote.
5. Use a simple quote request format
- Product category and target use
- Size, material, thickness, structure, and finishing
- Artwork, logo file, dieline, or reference sample photo
- Quantity, packing method, delivery destination, and timing
- Any compliance, labeling, or carton mark requirements
With these details ready, the quotation will be clearer and the next step will be easier to confirm.
